Re: NKS partner 50% off sale and new NI keyboards

I wonder if they'll improve the keybed of the S88. I have the MK1 and I really don't like it. Creaky, plasticky keys. I do quite like the aftertouch though. I've had my eye on the Numa X Piano GT for a while as a possible future upgrade, but I'll be interested to see what reviews of the S88 MK3 are ...

Re: Black Friday 2022 deals of note

And then there is Cineperc. It's a shame Cinesamples have never offer really compelling update prices. I own Core and Pro from ye olde days when it was available in 4 sections. I don't get any upgrade discount to complete it. The all-in package is great value now at $259, but I just don't want ...

Re: IK modelled drums - MODO Drums

I was not too fond of the sound either. I am hoping that it is just a matter of over-processed presets.

Excited to see how they will develop this technology.

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

“Sizzle” control dials in bell-shaking, window-rattling power. Or pull out the edge and get sonorous, dark, and mellow The Walkthrough demo had the Sizzle turned up to varying degrees for all instruments. I am really curious how the sound would change if the Sizzle knob was left in neutral or in opp ...

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off

In the video in the OP at 1'42 I hear that distinctive Ambient Legato Stage Collapse (ALSC) that I'm appallingly sensitive too. To me its the aural equivalent of a cameramen shooting off to see the back of the set. Think I'm gonna pass... I just tried that exact same passage on my computer just now ...

I logged in to my account and it says $69 for V-Collection owners. It is very generous but I don't know if I need it.

I have a feeling this will be part of a free promo for the new orchestral library. There was that teaser announcement on Twitter with the tagline "Build your own Orchestra"

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

With good speakers in a treated room, you can definitively hear some problems with the individual instruments: - some weird panning differences within one instrument (that might be only scripting bugs) - some shorts having a completely different timbre than the longs within the same instrument ...

Re: Strezov Afflatus Series

Apart from vague mentions that LASS 3 will happen at some stage, has there been any more info? Audiobro are wonderful but can keep us waiting for many years. I find myself hoping they use the same stage as LASS and no more mic positions, but more tonal / playing style variety would be top of my ...

Re: 2CAudio Precedence / spatialization

I'm also not too impressed by the difference between a value of '0' for distance and one of '100'. To my ears, Precedence makes that sound like a difference of a few centimeters at most (where you'd expect at least several meters, no?). This was my experience as well. I did not feel any major ...
