Re: Cubase 14 released [30% off sale April 2025]

There are also quite big audio engine improvements. If you have a CPU that has performance and efficiency cores, Cubase is performing much better now!

Re: Global Film Decline

"The Lord of the Rings trilogy was my most memorable blockbuster cinema experience. I remember being blown away by everything, the cinematography, the storytelling, the music, of course. After the first part, I couldn't wait for the second and third." Same here, and in fact I'm right now re-watching ...

No, they don't have anything classical. I just try to massage the performances as good as possible, but of course it sounds nothing like "real classical". Sad :(

SynthV is the backbone of my choir work (rehearsal tracks...). Version 2 is coming end of March, and I'm super excited.
Also check out the voices from Eclipsed Sounds!

Re: Global Film Decline

3D was about the only thing that got me in theatres, because I genuinely enjoyed it on the big screen. After they stopped 3D in theatres, I held on with my old TV and basically only watched 3D movies, I have more than 100. Then that TV broke, and now I can't watch any of them because 3D TVs do not ...

Re: Global Film Decline

Quite similar here in Germany, too, I think. I can't add anything of note about the business side, but as for going to the movies, it has gone down to absolutely 0 in the last years for me. Last time I was at a movie theatre was in 2019. The main reasons are: - Local cinema closed long ago, so the ...

Kontakt 7 on Windows 11 here. To be more precise, the loading of the patch is quick for me as well. But Kontakt is unresponsive for about a minute before the patch starts loading. I'll check with Kontakt 6. Edit: it's the same in Kontakt 6 for me. Kontakt is unresponsive for about a minute, then ...

Anyone recognise the red fader box on his desk? One of these: https://choisaucedesigns.com/ If I remember correctly, the person who makes them is a technician at Remote Control. Yes, Chuck Choi - I think he's also the guy who makes that fancy touchscreen controller everyone is drooling about, but ...

Re: Orchestral Tools Black Friday Sale - 50% off Main Series

"What makes you think that?" There was this big announcement on vicontrol that something big is coming our way in december. Speculation is running wild. But if it is one if their biggest releases it might be something bigger then just one orchestral section. So this sale feels a bit oddly timed ...

Re: Orchestral Tools Black Friday Sale - 50% off Main Series

A bit delayed in the sense that it is later than the intended release date (which, contrary to some speculations never was "a year ago"). I'm afraid I genuinely do not know when it will be released, could be next year, I really don't know. My impression is not that it is much delayed, honestly, but ...

Re: Orchestral Tools Black Friday Sale - 50% off Main Series

I'm still waiting for OT to release an improvement update for their Berlin Strings library, so far this hasn't happened. I won't be purchasing anything from them until they release this update. The update is a bit delayed, because it will be more extensive than planned and had a HUGE lot of testing ...

Re: Spitfire / Autograph Grand (free LABS library)

I think this is an example of the trend of "one trick pony ultra artisan product" where you take something and make it into something that works completely different from how it would usually work, just for the sake of being different. The value lies not in the product itself, but in the way if ...

Re: Cubase 12 released [DEMO NOW AVAILABLE]

Hi Larry! yes, your VE Pro 6 template will open fine in 7 and Cubase 11 projects open fine in 12 (and also fine in 11 again even after resaving. It is not particularly good practice, but I routinely switch projects between Cubase 9-12 and Nuendo, simply because I'm wayyyyyy too lazy to keep Cubase ...

Re: Black Friday 2021 (inc early deals)

Orchestral Tools is doing 50% OFF for the entire (I think) Berlin Series. A few days ago I grabbed Performance Samples Vista for sale - the deal was supposed to expire on 11 Nov, but the deal I think lasted through 15 Nov or so. It's unfortunately gone now. Just wanted to correct this: it is 50 ...

Re: Black Friday 2021 (inc early deals)

I chuckled at that picture, too... I understand the need for striking visual imagary, but a viola da gamba really has very little to do with Vikings. But I guess that is a common topic - after all AC:Valhalla has quite little to do with true Viking raids-Era Scandinavia/British Isles, either (though ...

Re: Spectrasonics: Omnisphere 2.8 and Sonic Extensions

I have no idea about their company structure. Eric probably has other income that trumps the Spectrasonics income a thousandfold. The rest might or might not be the same. If they don't have tons of full-time employees, don't have company locations, the company might have minimal running expenses ...

haha, yeah, that doesn't really help the Elitist tag, indeed :) Though I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they genuinely do not see the issue or that it is not an issue for them. They might be in the royalties/passive income bracket that they really think "if you want all 4, you buy all 4 ...

Re: Spectrasonics: Omnisphere 2.8 and Sonic Extensions

I'm sure they mean well, but I have found them not very approachable with questions and their reps come across often as quite ...
