Re: Audiobro Eternity: Adult Choir
Thanks Guy, I remember I was impressed with the video you posted on Dominus. If I may ask, what was your main disappointment on Genesis? I put some thoughts on it, and on using choir libraries in general here - https://thesoundboard.net/viewtopic.php?p=82519 Yeah, read that then and read it again ...

Re: Woodwinds
I really, really like the Synchron player. Perhaps not as "deep" as the VI player but the awesome integration with Studio One is worth it. Any. Time. Period. I got a good price upgrading from the Special Editions and thought the ongoing "Goodbye VI" had better discounts on the Woodwinds but I was ...
Re: Woodwinds
I just purchased the SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds (which have a nice discounted upgrade path from the VI-series).
It has quite a few nice mix presets as well. So if you like the VI maybe this could work for you?

Re: Do you use ear buds?
I use Samsungs Ear Buds 2 and I like them alot. Not so much for referencing stuff, just for listening to music and podcasts when flying or as a supplement to ear muffs when in my wood shop. Has some decent noise cancellation as well. As for referencing I have a few EQ-curves in Pro EQ3 that I listen ...

Re: Unique plugins
Well, here are a few that I can't replicate with other plugins so they have a place on my list at least :) Oxford Inflator Waves Brauer Motion Waves Scheps Particles (yes you could do this with a bunch of plugins but the simplicity makes it unique) UAD Precision-K Stereo And yes, Torque is indeed ...

Haven't heard it but got my interest solely on the very clear GUI. I feel I understand it even before I even touch a parameter.

Re: Using choir libraries
Wow. This was on another level for sure, been using Symphonic Choirs quite a bit but as you say it's "fiddly" to say the least. Requiem Light took it's place after a while. Not great but "doable". Don't know why I haven't looked into this one, since I use and really like their solo woodwinds so the ...

Re: The Happy Thread Of Free
I hear you Bill. I have mixed feelings as well but I must say that Pigments is truly awesome, soundwise as well as workflow-wise.
And yes, a Kawai K5 VST would make my day, any day.

Nice update, Pigments have been my "go to" the last few months. The GUI works very nice with a multitouch 21" monitor.

Re: UAD $39 sale
I think I sold my UAD PCIe card at the exact right time. Got enough money to buy the Arturia FX Collection as well as the Eventide Anthology Collection and an SSL UC1. Been picking up the native UA versions for €22 the last few weeks. Today it was Studer time! If you buy from UA directly you get a € ...

Re: SSL G3 MultiBusComp
Tried this (sort of) a while back with Studio One's splitter and 3 instances of SSL's Native Bus Compressor, but went back to Softubes 1973.
This is a lot less "fiddly"
I really like the looks of the SSL plugins though!

Had a hunch they'd do this but like Jay I'm all too happy with Repro-5. Wondering what their Model 90 would be? Virus? Nord? MS2000? JD8000?

Re: Waves go subscription only (and back again)
On a side note there was an upside to this, Solid State Logic took a few of their plugins that was only available in their subscription model and made them available to buy or rent-to-own.

I think it comes down to this. Are we here to learn something? Or are we here to support our club, or friends or whatever? I learned a lot from forums in the past. I have every right and actually a responsibility because I actually have everyone’s interest at heart, to say something in this case. I ...

Re: Are You Waiting for something Interesting to show up in Dec. ?
I wasn't looking or waiting for something special but the last week I bought these: • Invigorate, Newfangled Audio • RePitch, SynchroArts • Kirchhoff EQ, Three Body Tech And they all kind of adress the same thing, for me at least. Workflow. Invigorate just "works" and is superfast to setup. RePitch t ...
