Re: Orange Tree / Flute Flight (sampled flute foursome)

Yeah, I was very surprised when I saw all of the high praise on VIC.
I genuinely wondered if they listened to the same audio I did.

Re: Abbey Road Orchestra - Violins 1 announced

And, as an aside, it’s obvious that Spitfire just isn’t the same company anymore, since the days of “Christian and Paul”, and it offended me how Christian was treated. So for now at least I am avoiding further purchases from Spitfire…not so much out of spite, but out of buyer fatigue. Just my ‘2 pen ...

Re: Cinematic Studio Woodwinds

- the blend with Cinesamples winds, brass, and strings is really cool. It becomes a third library, if that makes sense. The only thing that I need to really work on is adding things like the Descant Horn and Sonore to CSB, the sonic differences were kind of jarring. It's really nice to see someone ...

Re: Sound Particles AIR

I'm puzzled as to why they decided to demo this plugin with a bombastic music piece instead of sound effects.

Re: Simplesam releases Signature Grand

Playability is decent. Not outstanding, but certainly no worse than that of many other sampled pianos. For me, there's a transition, when the piano climbs from mezzo dynamics to higher dynamics, that doesn't feel entirely right, but it's a minor thing. And, of course, a lot of it depends on how you ...

Seconded. I would grab those Minimalist Strings in a heartbeat.

Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings

In case it was less obvious than I think it was in the previous examples, here's a more telling illustration of the sort of sound that immediately awakens my Dark Passenger (and he's in a bad mood): http://users.telenet.be/deridderpiet.be/Examples/SFStudioStrings/Vlns1-16-LegatoSlurred_ex2.mp3 I am ...

Re: Cinesamples CineStrings update v1.3, plus new product - CineHarps

As an owner of their Cineharp, which is lacking sorely in comparison to the production values of the rest of their products, I've been hoping for this product for a long time. Beautiful timbre, exquisitely playable and a LIGHT RAM footprint. I wonder how big the discount is for Cineharp owners ...

I've really enjoyed working with these lately.
Here's something short I made to showcase the violins & celli together.

Re: Orchestral Tools / Berlin Orchestra 'Inspire'

There is somewhat of a danger of the dreaded giant harmonica/combo organ with some of the combos. This is one of my fears as well. Does anyone here have the library and can chime in on whether this is a real issue here? You'll have to wait for two weeks to get an answer. Release date is 14th this ...
