Yeah, great that they finally decided to do it. Wish Cockos would do that the same.

Re: ISW Tokyo Scoring Strings 2.0 - a massive update!

OK thank you so much for digging that one out! And you got affirmative reply from neblix (Nabeel, ISW's senior software engineer) 3 posts down! The Swell feature (velocity -> envelope attack time) was eventually removed even from longs because it was not working well with Smart Attack and needed ...

Re: ISW Tokyo Scoring Strings 2.0 - a massive update!

The cello patches will work fine in Kontakt full, that issue only shows in Player. That issue should be fixed today or tomorrow. Thanks for your comments, Piet! Regarding velocity to attack for shorts, I think that feature request sadly got forgotten amidst a plethora of other things that were done ...

ISW Tokyo Scoring Strings 2.0 - a massive update!

TSS 2.0 is a complete reworking of the entire library from the ground-up. We've redone everything from the audio (from the original sessions) to the script engine to create the very best version of this instrument possible. With this update we have what our team believes is the most playable ...

Re: NI Kontakt 8 and Komplete 15 - RELEASED

Kontakt - any version - isn't as efficient as some of the other samplers. It's no slouch, but it can't make use of NVMe speeds, unlike Opus or Spectrasonics STEAM engine. Will that ever get addressed? is that part of the core? It is indeed a pretty crucial part of the core, so it would have to be ...

Re: NI Kontakt 8 and Komplete 15 - RELEASED

In fact, this was made easier out of the box in K8, as Kontakt now starts with 28 stereo outputs already created and routed to plugin outputs. So you can just keep on assigning channels from any drum library you load, simples. Now, it depends how each particular drum library handles this multi-out ...

The core is never getting rewritten. The core is solid and has been for decades now.

Re: NI winding down development of Reaktor, discontinuing Super 8 standalone

It's not really nearing end of life, Reaktor is obviously an important product (just not nearly as much as Kontakt, however it still powers a decent chunk of Komplete). Consider it more of maintenance mode so that it can keep on working through whatever curveballs Apple pulls...

Re: Incoming / Expressive E 'Osmose'

I got mine! (I was an early bird preorderer.) It absolutely delivered and exceeded expectations IMHO. It feels really nice to play, it's super responsive. As for the built in synth engine... don't expect superbly realistic orchestral stuff. It was never intended to do that, nor it will. It's a very ...

Re: CLAP: new plugin standard from u-he and Bitwig

Yeah NI is just up to their necks in technical debt. So they prefer to focus on first resolving VST3 support across their whole (quite sizable) portfolio, and then HiDPI. Only then it seems logical to take on additional targets.

Re: CLAP: new plugin standard from u-he and Bitwig

how exactly this host will work It's not a host. CLAP is a protocol describing how hosts and plugins should behave. Just like VST, AU, AAX. The trick is in implementation differences. For example: VST is a C++ API. This means it makes it much more difficult to write a VST plugin using a language ...

Viscount K4 EX might be up your alley maybe. By default they have Fatar TP40L but I heard you can contact them to put a graded TP40WOOD instead.

Might also wanna check out Studiologic Numa X Piano GT (TP400WOOD) or SL Grand (TP40WOOD).

Re: UVI Falcon AAX discontinued / crossgrade to full version

Factory library was updated a number of times, and IIRC it now also includes sounds from Simon Stockhausen etc.

Also there's a series of videos by Dan Worrall where he goes in depth with Falcon's features, which is worth checking out. It's really a great sound design tool.

Re: Kontakt 6.7.0 M1 and W11 compatible

Just FYI for everyone, the OS version restriction is purely in the installer, not the executables. So if one has a newer machine (i.e. for day to day stuff rather than production), one could install the latest version on that machine and copy the relevant standalone and plugin executables to your ...

u-he did update their VST3s, they work just fine now. Also does anyone know if all existing projects created using a VST2 version automatically work if the the host only has the VST3 version? Only if the plugin developer used the same plugin ID for the VST3 version as they did for VST2. And then ...

Re: Incoming / ISW Tokyo Scoring Strings

I only hope that the library doesn't sound as room-y as it does in the lovely Jeff Ball demo. Good strings sound, I find, but a bit too much room around it. That's how it sounds really, that's the Japanese strings sound - the whole point of the library. Small room and smaller ensemble, ends up with ...

Re: Spectrasonics updates inc VST3 and M1 support

9th output might be there for auxes, so you can route 8 multi parts separately, and then on 9th output all the auxes are summed. With just 8 outputs as previously, if you wanted individual outputs for each of 8 multi parts, one of them would have to also contain the summed aux as well.

OB-8 was the last one (it went OB-X, OB-Xa, OB-8).

OB-X produced between 1979 and 1981.
OB-Xa produced between 1981 and 1982.
OB-8 produced between 1983 and 1985.
