I still haven't upgraded. Mk 1 is pretty good but of course it is unessential. Very few things are truly essential - we have a whole thread on that here :)

I'm semi-tempted at half price. It looks nicer, sounds a bit better perhaps.

Re: Waves sale now down to $19.99 each (inc. Torque)

I see the Clarity range hasn't made it in that cheap yet.

Most of their older stuff is perfectly fine, but it's obviously an extremely crowded market now and there's not much that's essential. However three vintage plugs that are still worth having around imo are Soundshifter, Maxx Bass and Center.

Waves sale now down to $19.99 each (inc. Torque)

This is the first time a significant volume of Waves plugins have hit the $19.99 level I believe, and there's some excellent newer ones included - https://www.waves.com/big-september-sale. One of particular note is Torque, which enables you to hange the pitch of a drum but keep its transient propert...

Superior Drummer 3: EZD crossgrade offer

This hasn't happened since the launch of SD3 - a crossgrade for EZD owners. Was €299, now €239. Not an amazing bargain, but better than nothing I guess.

One thing I just noticed - mine are actually loyalty rebates ie discounts on other products. I do have Wavelab and have a 70% rebate off Pro. What I don't have is an upgrade for the same product but a newer version.

Re: Musio - latest stuff

I can't see an Audiobro buying out the CineSamples catalog. They are a very small developer who take many years to develop a single product.

It seems a little more plausible that someone else of heft buys out Musio and add a lot more content from a third party, but that too is fraught with problems.

Re: NI Kontakt 8 and Komplete 15

I'd really like them to make it super stable first, but I guess that doesn't sell. K7 still doesn't work for me as Komplete replaces my K5 and 6 instances with empty K7 instances (so helpful!) every time it opens, so I've had to delete it. I don't quite understand what's going on there.... a few DA...

To add - there was a lot of confusion of Reaktor 6's inclusion or otherwise in Komplete 15. It wasn't mentioned anywhere on the Komplete 15 and comparison pages, but on the Reaktor 6 page it said it was in Collector's Edition. NI have now updated their comparison website, and Reaktor 6 is in all ver...

Here's another interesting example - Drive, by the Cars. Likely the second you read that, you thought of starving children in Africa. Needless to say, that's not what the band had in mind when they wrote it, and indeed "Who's gonna drive you home tonight?" is utterly nonsensical in that co...

https://i.imgur.com/8Bot6fH.png Komplete 18 and Kontakt 8 are released on September 30. Kontakt 8 doesn't look like it is the ground-up rewrite I was looking for after the debacle of Kontakt 7, but it does appear to be substantially different and does host a new hybrid synth called Conflux - with R...

These are sordinos I think, right? VSL Duality sordinos might be a good place to start. They do a 15 day money back thing too if you wanted to trial them properly, something I took advantage of. I though they were excellent, but the HOOPUS emulated sordinos were close enough for my uses.

Hello everyone! Trying to make sense of everything Cinesamples related. Is Musio 1 at 199€ still a bargain ? Or risky ? I don’t have anything from them, oddly enough.
