Re: Orchestral Tools Woodwinds Soloists 1 & 2 SINE versions released
Is there a solution yet to moving SINE libraries to different SSDs? My SINE SSD is almost full and the structure of my SINE libraries makes it virtually impossible to move individual SINE libraries to another location. The SINE libs are only labeled by numbers, so I can't easily just drag a library ...

Re: JXL Brass - Orchestral Tools
Where are you guys hearing the demos of this library? Is there a walkthrough yet? Or all these conclusions based only on the 20s teaser and assumptions? I realize we live in a world of sound bytes and tweets but I'd really have to hear some solid examples first before I could draw any kind of ...

Re: Eventide / 'Elevate' (Mastering Bundle, currently reduced in price)
I bought this but it doesn't run in realtime due to the delay and heavy CPU load so its only useful for mixdowns. I didn't test it extensively but I wasn't impressed with the sound results. Maybe this isn't indicative of what's possible but the lack of realtime response was pretty much a deal-killer ...

Re: For the next 4 days only: PSP Xenon for $29 instead of $249
This has been my "go-to" compressor for years. I highly recommend it even at $249. Fast, easy and extremely effective. At $29, its a steal.

Re: Soundtoys Little Plate: EMT 140-based reverb free til Nov 22nd
And there is no stereo input? No stereo input on plates, and if if it is, they sum them (A+B=M) before hitting the actual plate. Skärmavbild 2017-11-08 kl. 08.26.29.png Best, Anders Interesting. I guess that's the way it was. I remember we used to use two reverbs to get stereo. Though we don't have ...

Re: Soundtoys Little Plate: EMT 140-based reverb free til Nov 22nd
Nice dark sound, but only dark. It doesn't get bright. And there is no stereo input? The mod is a very nice feature - this really keeps the sound alive. Too bad though there isn't a mod amount control. Maybe they'll come out with a big brother with additional features. Still, for free? How can I ...

Re: Zynaptique 40% full cataloque sale on now
At Best Service, Adaptiverb is currently 50% off at €109 which is about $113. Seems like a good price.
EDIT - I Jumped, and it seems the quoted price included VAT as the final price came to €91,60 which is about only $96.

Re: Released: Adventure Brass - from the makers of Soaring Strings
I know Mike's writing is "reminiscent" of JWs but do you really think its that close? Compare Mike's latest to JW Summon the Hero's which to me is crafted to a much higher degree. Despite my respect and admiration for Mike's JW-style writing chops, when I switch back and forth between the two, I can ...

Re: A New Pricing Model Appears for Plugins: Rent-to-Own Serum
This concept drives me nuts. Here's why. Lets say I have 10 apps, and each app has 10 plugins. So I rent my 10 apps, and I rent my 10 plugins for each and now I have 110 revolving monthly charges on my credit card to keep track of and account for. How does this not drive you nuts! And this is not an ...

Re: Arturia V Collection 5
... I suspect it is a matter of how much time you spend learning to use it to its full potential. Yes, I think that is very true and I had the same thought. Also, with software, we never know how long we'll be able to actually use it as we don't know if the company will be around next year or ...

This quick tutorial will give you a fast overview of what's possible. Its actually a very well-designed interface. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYO55G959uc btw, when I run it is stand-alone mode, it responds extremely fast on my Mac, so the slow-response problem I had seems to be only inside DP8 ...

Re: Arturia V Collection 5
Changing patches on the Synclavier is extremely sluggish. Sometimes it takes up to 30s on my system to refresh the next patch (MacPro 2008) with DP8. Is this what you guys are experiencing too? It seems like it could use something like Kontakt's Batch Resave. I suppose this is what to expect with a ...

Re: Keith Emerson passed away
Such a sad loss. He was on of the most creative and energetic performers. I was lucky to be able to see him as a teen.
Though, in some ways, Keith was right "The Show Will Never End". His music will live on.

Re: Flux:: / subscription licensing
I can't understand how you guys are excited about the concept of subscription plans for plugins. Its bad enough for main programs (particularly if you use a lot of them). However, if you started adding the need to write monthly or annual checks for all the plugins you use for every different ...
