Re: EXPONENTIAL R4
I bought it about a year ago or so the last time it was $10. I use it all the time. Took the place the the Lexhall for me.

Re: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra
Guy Michelmore takes a look. If you want to skip the kid on Christmas day part, go to the 4:30 mark, or so. Guy can be a bit silly sometimes, but I enjoy his enthusiasm (and his ostinati). YMMV. https://youtu.be/iAtZyWtRRaI Best, Geoff This is so good for an unboxing. And learning the instrument ...

Re: Native Instruments Straylight
Looks like Paul was on the development team as a consultant. STRAYLIGHT was built in collaboration with Frank Elting and The most human colors, a boutique instrument and sound design agency. The instrument was also developed in consultation with composer Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Minority Report ...

This looks great! I've always liked Quattro as an editor, this looks to really bring it up to date.

Re: Eventide 'Fission' / sound-splitting structural FX
Pretty cool putting an in sync repeating delay on just the transients of a guitar track while adding a harmony to the tonal part with no echo. Fun stuff!

Audiodeluxe has this for $82.39 right now. Won't find a better deal than that.

Re: Eventide 'Fission' / sound-splitting structural FX
I am trying this out now for a film I'm doing. Great for sound design. Very musical and just plain cool. I'll have to get it at the intro price for sure. You can make a guitar sound like an E-bow guitar with little effort.

Re: Kush & A-Designs / Hammer EQ
It took me a while to decide on spending money on this plugin because I really am getting more wary about the claims being made on everything coming out these days but............ it just does something to the mix I haven't found a way of doing with any other EQ. I agree. I just downloaded the demo ...

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
I have to be doing something wrong then because while it sounds kind of okay when music is running (clean, but also some unexpected too dry moments eventually though) as soon as the music stops the heard tail is just psychedelic... totally unusable for me :/ What preset are you using? The ...

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
DrQuest - by best results do you mean for CPU / workflow? I don't see how it could make any sonic difference. Carles - are you saying this happens on every patch? Could you post a quick example along with the settings / patch name? From my brief encounter with it, there seemed a huge variety in ...

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
I'm liking this plugin more and more as I use it. My best results have been to put it on a Kontakt bus instead of a send. So spacious without the mud.

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
For those using the demo there is a quick CPU trick I found on the control panel. I was having playing issues with latency as soon as the Altiverb was in place. On the upper left of the GUI there is a little watch icon. If you click that it delays the reverb and eliminates the playing latency. When ...

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
Nice, Jay. What preset is this? Seems like it might need more tail out at the end but it does sound good. Is this on a send or an insert on a bus?

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
Running the demo of Adaptiverb now. It is good for 30 days! It is beyond cool as a sound design tool. The verbs are rich and lush. If you can handle the CPU load it is super amazing. The intro price seems very affordable. Unfortunately I don't have that cash now. But I got 30 days to find a way ...

Yep. My wife passed away 2 years ago. It has been impossible to access digital accounts I did not have immediate access to. Life still goes on. Not in a good way I suppose.

Completely agree with this. I have many Kush plugins from here.TheUnfinished wrote:I highly recommend signing up with Audiodeluxe, who often shave off a little bit extra from these sales prices. I've bought quite a few mixing plugs via them and have never had any issues.
