Re: Crow Hill: String Murmurations (intro £149)
For what it's worth, the instrument sure is a lot of fun to just plonk on, though I don't know how usable it will be in a larger orchestration. I think you'll hear quite a lot of cinematic piano over the top of whatever is played on this library. Not quite drones, but close. Actually, I ‘hear’ ...

Re: Crow Hill: String Murmurations (intro £149)
I think the sound through this laptop is pretty darn good. The only issue is I feel like I'm stuck in some sort of Mahler loop. Maybe there is more in there on another walkthroughMalachistos wrote: ↑Nov 04, 2023 6:43 am I don't know what it does, but it all sounded very samey to me. Like a cloud of semi random legato intervals.

Re: SWAM String Sections
The 3rd movement of Bach's Brandenburg 3 sounded like a synthesizer to me. The Morricone sounded synthetic too. Didn't listen any others.

Re: Abbey Road Orchestra - Violins 1 announced
And, as an aside, it’s obvious that Spitfire just isn’t the same company anymore, since the days of “Christian and Paul”, and it offended me how Christian was treated. So for now at least I am avoiding further purchases from Spitfire…not so much out of spite, but out of buyer fatigue. Just my ‘2 pen ...

Re: UAD $39 sale
Bought the Studer A800 emulation. I'm not sure I'll l have much use for it. But at $39 it's worth it even if it is only sporadically useful. Us it all the time. Check the patches and use it on your master buss as well as separate channels. Always remember with any mixing/mastering plugins that a ...

Re: Abbey Road Orchestra - Violins 1 announced
If you're doing tv library work then you could get this to sound reasonable just like most libraries sound reasonable. The whole sections together will be interesting. There's way too much importance put on legato. Regarding sounding real; there isn't a sample string library out there that sounds ...

Re: Abbey Road Orchestra - Violins 1 announced
Those fast legato runs played on a keyboard in that way is a bad idea. The whole thing is washed in reverb too. Waiting to to see the whole run through.
