Re: EastWest / Hollywood Orchestra OPUS Edition
Yup! Typical East West move! :P TBH, I have been expecting that now and that is why I held off. Now I am gonna do it. But why they charge you the same for owning any ONE of the 4 collections in the past or owning the full package is really beyond me ... If I would ever lead a company, I would never ...

Re: Sonokinetic Orchestral Strings (with A/B divisi)
The shorts in this demo sound incredible, definitely among the best I've heard so far.
I still don't like the sound itself, it sounds overly reverb-y, distant and very narrow, but I think and hope that's just a mixing issue.

Re: Cubase 10 released [10.0.20 update]
Thanks Guy, good to hear. I might try it again then, though I really don't want to spend time on things that seem to be in constant danger of getting broken again with new updates.
Back to REAPER I go, I guess...

Re: Cubase 10 released
10.20 is out, quite a lot of new features and big fixes including my own personal nemesis - CAN13042! Yes, after all these years, multi-out Track Archives and Disabled Tracks finally work. Who'd have thought? Existing stuff is likely to still be corrupt, but anything newly made should be solid ...

Re: JXL Brass - Orchestral Tools
CSB is by far my favourite brass library, and I thought I was done with brass for a while, but I just preordered this. It seems to have all the strengths and things I love about CSB (full dynamic range, consistency all across the board, ...), while being paired with a much more powerful/tweakable ...

Re: Orchestral Tools moves away from Kontakt!
I wonder what the memory footprint of an empty instance of the SINE player is. I'd also really like to know this. The worst thing about CAPSULE is how resource hungry it is. I don't own libraries that come even remotely close. Not only is the RAM consumption of a purged instrument extremely high ...

Re: Nextmidi Strings Library coming soon
It's possible this isn't even a sample library, but something midi/control app related? Or maybe both? - The app on the touchscreen is something I've never seen before. - It's implied that he's recording 9 tracks at the same time, which would need some sort of intelligent divisi script. - Apparently ...

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass
If I understood correctly, MSB has a lot of settings for how you want to handle dynamics (with velocity, modwheel, a combination of the two etc.). I'm pretty sure something isn't set correctly in that regard (or some other user error), because I just can't see how Audiobro would release short ...

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass
Personally I think they should keep the price in the 3 digits range (so 999$ at most). I'm not sure you can still sell libraries for 1000-2000$ in todays day and age. I mean, just look at the outrage over Afflatus' price. Sure, some professionals might get it, but I suppose most hobbyists (which ...

Re: Cinematic Studio Brass ... soon ....
Apparently for CSS owners the price will be 279, for CSSS owners 299.
Incredibly low price, but I won't complain.

"Iconica" - Full Orchestral Library by Steinberg feat. Orchestral Tools
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beoW5OO9aqE https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/vst/iconica/sections_and_players.html This sounds surprisingly good from the video demos (or not so surprising after realizing that it was made by Orchestral Tools :D ). Also nice to see more and more good sounding ...

FS: Sample Modeling - Orchestral Woodwinds Bundle
Hey guys, I'm selling the Sample Modeling Orchestral Woodwinds Bundle. This includes the Double Reeds, the Clarinets and the Flutes. It usually goes for at least 519€, depending on if you need to pay VAT or not (I had to pay 617€). I'm selling it here for 400€. The process is pretty straight forward, ...

Re: Orchestral Tools / Capsule 2.5
All the updates look great so far! Unfortunately it seems like I have to completely rebuild the OT part of my template, since re-enabling an old patch completely crashes Cubase. A "fresh" patch works beautifully now though, no more issues with the deactivation function as far as I can tell. :)

Re: Sample Modeling / French Horn & Tuba v3
I have to agree with Rob, apart from the d minor chord at 0:35 (some sort of feedback?) and the Trumpet being a bit harsh and sticking out a bit too much at 1:46, it sounds pretty great for me on the first listen.
