USB Hubs

So, what does your connections look like? I have a Mac Studio as a primary machine, so I have 6 USB-C and 2 USB-A. But with two computer monitors, several hard drives, MIDI-devices and what not I'm starting to run out of connections with the two Anker hubs I have: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00ZQFYWJY ...

Re: ProjectSAM: Orchestral Essentials I and II free update 2.0 and sale

Been eyeing this update. Owning all the Symphobias to me it's still a question of "what do I gain from this?" I can see that a couple of the instruments are library exclusive and I get that the footprint is small. But are the multis maybe a place where the libraries shine?

Re: Black Friday 2022 deals of note

Feels like they're coming thick and fast now. Arturia have V Collection for $299, EFX for $199 and Pigments 3.5 for $99 for new customers. I own V Collection 8, and they're throwing it at me for €99 and €69 for the effects (I have a couple of those). https://www.arturia.com/black-friday-22 I also ha ...

Re: U-he Zebra Legacy - all the Zebras for €99

I got my copy of Zebra + HZ as part of an incredible NI bundle. Never played that much with those two but got it for the effects and Diva. Just a simple playthrough of some of the soundsets is really astonishing! Really looking forward to Zebra 3 now :)

Wow. This is definitely going on the shelf! But sigh, as usual with books like these the engraving is horrible and notation questionable to be considered legit but the notes should be worth every cent.

Curiously they chose to show four different cineperc libraries (to make content seem bigger perhaps) even though they merged those libraries over 6 years ago.

The tone is interesting but I'm genuinely surprised they use this to tease for a library.

Thanks for the insights! Having all of the Symphobias (and lets face it: not really an urgent need for new tools) I think I'll pass this time again.

DJ Harrison's layback is 12$. Was 29.99. Guess that's the steep one :)

Re: EastWest / Hollywood Orchestra OPUS Edition

I like that they spend the first 2 minutes in the walkthrough going over the instrument order and say 'it's exactly how you'll find it in a typical orchestral score' only to show a concert and layout that is definitely not an orchestral score layout :) I have yet to decide whether I would find it ...

Having gotten in to the CS-line just two months ago I'm so looking forward to this! All other products have made me smile of samples like never before and I love how easy it is. This sounds great and although it's missing maybe bass flute for me personally, I have them covered elsewhere although it ...

That's great to hear! Maybe I could put in a ticket for a Mancini-styled library?

A composer I orchestrate for use a lot of VMS and Fluffy woodwinds and I always thought his demoes sound amazing. Will be looking in to these to for the sale.

Guy, I have bought all Symphobias and Swings and every purchase has been based on several viewings of the same walkthroughs! No timp rolls? You sure about that? I could swear it had those in a different octave than the hits. I’m not at the studio though.

The orchestral percussion is worth the price alone. I bought it a couple of years ago for under €100 and it has shown as an incredible and versatile library. I've never been tempted to buy the other libraries though.
