Re: Cubase 10.5 released
Thank goodness. I don't know how many times I've accidentally turned on loop mode in the midi editor...at least 10 times a day.

Re: Spitfire Audio Albion 2: Loegria retired and 50% off
I barely use it anymore to be honest. I used to use the "Long (half)" and flautando strings patches quite a lot, but once I got Sable/SCS it felt a bit redundant. That and I find it really frustrating not having control over the vibrato and release. I still occasionally use the Euphonium/horns patch ...

Just saw this too. I already have Repro (which is currently my favourite synth ever), but not Diva.
Should I assume that Diva for £74.50 is a deal not to be missed?

If I've got a chance I'll do a post with some photos tomorrow. Maybe.Guy Rowland wrote: ↑Jan 15, 2019 9:11 am Anyone fancy starting a thread on "How I use my Stream Deck?" They look lovely, well designed and are reasonably priced, but I can't quite think of a purpose for it in my setup.

The stream deck is great. There's a lot to be said for having physical buttons! And you can make your own icons!

Re: The Nemeio customisable keyboard
I saw this earlier too. It’s a shame the colours don’t change but I guess it wouldn’t use the electronic ink then. I bought one of those Elgato Stream deck things last Black Friday (I think it’s great) and I did wonder if it’d be possible to make a full keyboard with the same tech rather than the 12 ...

Sounds nice. But damn is that GUI terrible. The font is really, really messy, all squidged up like it is.

I agree. Sounds much better than the earlier demos.
I like that you can also download a “raw” wav, so you can hear it with your own processing!

Spitfire’s raffle/tombola tickets went live 30 mins ago, they usually disappear pretty quickly, though they’re doing three more sets throughout today.

Whats the issue with disabled tracks then? Using enable/disable instruments tracks extensively here and not faced a problem. I have on my big template everything with disabled tracks and enabling them on the fly when I need them. Me too. I’ve been on a fully enable/disable track template for a year ...

Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings
I just had a listen on a pair of headphones to your last example Piet, and yes the ‘never far from phasing’ sound drove me mad. I feel like I'm fairly well covered for strings to be honest. If I need something dryer (which isn't often) then I use the SF LCO library. But really I'm just using Sable qu ...

Re: Spitfire Solo Strings will be released July 12th
Sorry, been out all day. Three different violins, yes. But only one violin legato patch. If I get a chance I’ll maybe do a quick vibrato comparison. There’s no progressive legato patch, no. The legato violin is the first chair. The only progressive patch is the “progressive longs” patch that all thre ...

Hmm...Haven't tried doing anyting with the baked in vibrato arc. I think that's just a patch on the longs? Unless I've misunderstood you.

Exhibit A - Funny loops on Viola Legato
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gpdzseir7868x ... s.wav?dl=0
The last note I play is a D4 at about 5-6 seconds the loop points seem to be about every 2-3 secs!. I played the same thing in CSSS and it was sounding a lot better.

Re: Spitfire Solo Strings will be released July 12th
First impressions are that it sounds nice 'n' all that. I'm not too keen on some of the loop points on the long notes - they're a bit too short/loud. I'll post examples when I get a chance. The vibrato crossover aint too subtle either. Sometimes i think it's ok and sometimes it feels quite abrupt.
