Re: Spitfire Audio 'Symphonic Motions' Library Released
I find myself more interested in ARKHIS at this time, for a little more money. Different beast, but in controlling my gear lust I'll have to choose one. That one is interesting to me too, but with NI being involved, I expect it will see a 50% discount and/or be included in Komplete within a year or ...

Re: Spitfire Audio 'Symphonic Motions' Library Released
Yep, I bought it as well, as the intro price was inviting, plus it does sound like it may nicely fill a gap for me. I do already have some similar repeating patterns from Metropolis Arc, but this seems like it should blend much better with the SF orchestral libraries that are the meat and potatoes ...

Re: FabFilter Saturn 2
I tried the demo and didn't note enough audible distinctions from Saturn 1 (which leaves out the prettier GUI) to make me think I HAD to have it right now. I was mainly interested in the new distortion models, but none of them seemed very compelling to me. I'll probably still get the upgrade the ...

Re: Korg Collection 2 with updated GUIs
Thanks very much for the info. Although maybe I still did something wrong, because after logging in on the Korg site via that link and then downloading the latest installers from my Products page, my existing products (Wavestation and M1) both came up in demo mode, until I downloaded, installed and ...

Re: StaffPad - iPad / Windows app with CineSamples, Spitfire and Orchestral Tools
I gave in to my curiosity and bought StaffPad tonight, and thought it might be helpful if I share my first experience with it (on a first gen 12” iPad Pro with the original Apple Pencil). It’s not as bad as I feared it might be from reading many of the reviews. I did have one crash back to the home s ...

Re: StaffPad - iPad / Windows app with CineSamples, Spitfire and Orchestral Tools
Since I have an iPad pro with the bigger screen (first generation) and just need a pen, for 100€ this is something I would consider! Does anybody have the same iPad and could possibly tell me how performance is like with this app? Also, what are the pros and cons regarding the 1st and 2nd g ...

Re: StaffPad - iPad / Windows app with CineSamples, Spitfire and Orchestral Tools
Yeah, whilst I like Notion for iPad, it was a case of close but no cigar. What the biggest disappointment is that the software feels like it has been a little bit abandoned by Presonus. However, according to someone on VI-C there was a little update very recently (didn't notice it myself), but more ...

Re: StaffPad - iPad / Windows app with CineSamples, Spitfire and Orchestral Tools
I've been using the notion app for IOS for a while and whilst its very clever, it's still no match for pencil and paper. Is this Notion app connected to StaffPad? (Excuse my ignorance). I think all @Mikeybabes meant was that Notion attempts to fill a very similar nitch on the iPad (notation with ...

Re: StaffPad - iPad / Windows app with CineSamples, Spitfire and Orchestral Tools
This looks REALLY interesting to me ... but the reviews on the iOS store seem to be suggesting it is pretty seriously buggy right now, too much so for a $90 app. As much as I’d like to take the plunge, I think I’ll have to wait to see how things play out with this app long-term (or maybe for a sale p ...

Re: CineBrass Sonore
I sure would like to hear someone do a head-to-head comparison of the legatos in this with those in CSB. I think the demos and walkthrough sound really good, but I also wonder if CSB is already able to do the same job for me. I have the other CineBrass libraries, but not Retro Trumpets, which ...

Re: Spitfire Albion NEO
For what it is worth, at least my one post above, while rather critical of NEO as a release, was not intended to impune the earnest intentions of Christian, Paul and the rest of the Spitfire team. In fact I was careful to state that my concern is that Spitfire "might be running out of ideas", rather ...

Re: Spitfire Albion NEO
I am a pretty big fan of a great many of Spitfire’s libraries, as the Libraries tab in my Kontakt can attest. In fact I suspect I own something close to 50% of everything they have available. However, the NEO walkthroughs have convinced me that one, I don’t need this library, and two, Spitfire might ...
