Here’s a link to the video Piet was speaking of. I learn a great deal from his discussions.

Do you have Sunset Strings, Guy? I’ve looked at those as well, but never hit the buy button.

Yes, this sounds really nice. hmmm. Wasn't looking to buy anything, but this might be fun to have. I do like the GUI as well.

Re: Izotope everything bundle for 199$
I haven't upgraded RX - I have v2! Don't have much use for it.
But, checking in today, I can upgrade to RX10 Advanced for $399 OR I can upgrade to RX9 Advanced for $249 with a free upgrade to RX10!?! Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Re: Moonlander computer keyboard
Yeah, it is a big expense. I wonder how I would get along with it. And the company, being small, does have a pretty hefty return requirement - you have to send the keyboard (paying for shipping) back to Taiwan, about $90. So it isn't something to take on lightly. I do really like this idea of layers ...

Moonlander computer keyboard
Hey Gang.
Anyone using one of these fancy keyboards? https://www.zsa.io/moonlander
I’m not sure about the separate halves, but the multiple pressure points/press and hold and “tap dance” features seem made for daw work.
I also appreciate this company being small and custom made.
Thoughts?

Listening Through
I ran across this article the other day about "Listening Through". the idea being you start with an artist's catalog and listen in chronological order. Not as background. Not in the car. But really take the time to listen to each cut. Doesn't all have to be at once. I guess maybe one record at a ...

Re: Spitfire Audio - Free Philip Glass piano
I'm averse to these kinds of marketing strategies as a rule. I'm not sure why I would feel the urge to sound like Philip Glass to begin with? Let alone thinking just by playing his piano will indeed make me sound like him? Mr. Glass will sound like Philip Glass no matter what piano he plays. I guess ...

Re: Orchestral Cover Rights
Doing a bit more research, as I wondered if you could apply the US Compulsory License provision in such a case, and found this: Requirements: (1) the song you’re covering was previously released as an audio-only recording ; (2) your own record will be an audio-only record and won’t contain anything o ...

Re: Orchestral Cover Rights
Thanks Daryl (nice to see you again) and Linos. I figured it wasn't as easy as I stated. I know in the US there is a compulsory license provision in the CopyRight act that allows for me to record a cover version of a song - just have to pay the statutory royalty rate to the © holder. I didn't know ...

Orchestral Cover Rights
Hey Gang - Coming over from another thread. If anyone has any experience with performing rights for copyrighted music. If you create an orchestral or concert band arrangement of, say a famous movie theme, do you have to secure rights to use that music? Can anyone use John Williams’ music as long as i ...

Thoughts and Plans for 2022
I haven't been one for setting New Year's Resolutions and goals and such. I find that in the past, when doing such things, I broke them nearly immediately after vowing to make this year different. To the point where I abandoned my To-Do lists and just let things come as go as they may. But the last ...

Re: Incoming / major True Strike and Symphobia updates
Looking forward to your walk through video, Guy :) Do you think I need to do one? This is very thorough... Since I've done so much ProjectSAM I guess I could do a short update over the holidays.... I wouldn't say need to, no. But I always enjoy your take on it, so there you go. Certainly wouldn't ...

Re: Incoming / major True Strike and Symphobia updates
Looking forward to your walk through video, Guy :) I do wonder when Kontakt will release an update for Apple Silicon. I believe it is my last hold out plugin. Still on the fence with getting Symphobia - super close - but I don't do that much orchestral stuff anymore, and do I really need it? hmmm ...

I agree with you both. Happy to see AudioBro (hopefully) doing well with this release. I love LASS and use it all the time. I opted not to get MSS at the release, for various reasons. But I have friends who have it and really like it. I might pick it up someday if I really get back to writing for ...

Re: Audiobro LASS 3
If I remember correctly, I bought LASS in 2011 ish? And I don’t think I’ve paid for an update since. So $129 seems fair to me. Especially since I get the sórdidos, which I always thought about getting but haven’t.
I get your millage may vary.

Project Sam has 30% store wide sale.
Very tempted by This. I do wish they would offer a Symphobia 1 and 3 pack instead of 2 and 3.
And on twitter they announced Symphobia 1 update coming soon.
Edit: announced on thier webpage
