Re: Modartt Pianoteq / Petrof 275 model
I wonder. Will this inevitably mean going back and re-modelling the other pianos in such a chamber?

Welcome Paul, is it possible or practical for you producing a quick demo for reference so as we can understand just how far off the vsti performance is? Ray EDIT: first long reply lost in the ether, so here is another version! Hi Ray and thanks for the welcome. Overall, this library is a good ...

Another neat example Larry. Of course first and foremost, one must know how and why a real player might play turns etc in such a way to get anything like your extremely presentable efforts.

Larry, I agree.
Pity about the long releases on the banjo though. Each note on a separate string?

Re: Spitfire Audio releases British Drama Toolkit
Guy, we can argue for years on which elite rules our lives but on this particular subject I'm with you all the way. By the time I listened through the video I was bored. The creation of the dirge goes hand in hand with guitarists like me getting my hands on a keyboard and DAW so as to place my ...

I like this, I bought this. For me as someone who already owns HALion 6 it’s a no brainer. Building blocks on which to sit whatever sounds take your fancy.

I don’t use it while mixing. Only in WaveLab when mastering/finalising.

Often testimonials are to be taken with the proverbial but Bob Katz did say he used it elsewhere without being asked.
It has been my go to for some time now.
Not that I think my testimonial has any worth, I'm just sayin'.

If I get a chance today Guy, I’ve been out of town for a couple of days and now I’m in the middle of organising a new central heating system in my mother’s home.

Nice update.
A quick trial using RestoreRig on a digital recording from a kpm LP from 1970 proved to be very clean sounding without too much loss on the original balanced mix.

Re: UVI Falcon: 30% off, 2 free expansions and $100 of UVI libraries
I sorta feel bad posting that video (though it's my favourite on the internet) - it's my age talking. I really don't want to have to learn any new DAWs (unless they are impeccably designed), and I've found that goes for synths. I really am far better to keep learning the tools I have, but in no way ...

I would but..................I can't because I already have it and a few of the expansions.
You know I'm a man of few words (unless I'm in a bad mood) so don't ask me to explain why it's worth it.

Re: Cubase 9
Frank, there is now a separate thread for Mac users. These plugins work just fine on my cheap and nasty PC.
Re: Cubase 9
Don't be sorry Larry, I don't mind reading about problems folks may or do have with Cubase because this thread is about Cubase (good or bad) however, if I see one of the many threads featuring questions and answers concerning Logic, I leave it alone. That for me seems a fairly reasonable position to ...
