Re: Monty Norman died today....
Yes! That is exactly the point. You have to see it from the point of the working composer: The one-in-a-millon chance of luck where an underpaid job gets you the lottery win should never be used an excuse to underpay all of the other 999.999 composers who where not that lucky. Doing that to me seems ...

Re: Monty Norman died today....
I think it is always strange how people can argue forever about topics of actual authorship, plagiarism or ghost writing. In most cases, all one can do is form a believe, as it is mostly impossible to really prove anything. Even in court these things tend to end in various ways and nobody seems to ...

Re: Izotope everything bundle for 199$
To bad, the offer seems to have gone. The initial link posted by Linos points me to a an offer about the "everything bundles", however, when I click the icon I get redirected to an offer for $499 for the Music Production Suite 5. Bummer! Upgrading to everything for $199 would have been a no-brainer ...

Re: CLAP: new plugin standard from u-he and Bitwig
It is intriguing to see software developer with the energy to push some things forward! However, the sceptic in me says this will take ages until we media composers are going to be able to enjoy something like that. The fact that Kontakt just recently migrated to VST3 says everything about the tempo ...

Re: Orchestral Tools / updated Berlin Strings + True Consordino
I agree about Sine not being ready. However, what other software except Kontakt really is? Spitfire Player certainly not and with this company I do not even have much faith in them drastically improving as they usually put way more effort into marketing and brands. That they mentioned the designer ...

Re: Orchestral Tools / updated Berlin Strings + True Consordino
Sine kind of works for me, now, but I still hate it as well! Contrary to your experience, I quite liked Capsule except for it spending to much computer resources. Sine could still become good, so, there is hope and basically, there is almost no big developer left that doesn't have his own player. On ...

Re: Orchestral Tools / updated Berlin Strings + True Consordino
I think this library is pretty great! I paid under 200€ for it since I have all other Orchestral Tools string libraries from the bundle. But there is almost nothing within this library that I did not like so far (which is rare)! I wonder why they did not record pizzicato when recording hotel mutes a ...

Re: Orchestral Tools / updated Berlin Strings + True Consordino
And now SINE has found a new way to annoy me: I start Logic, I load a single instance of SINE and when I want to go to 'Store' or 'My Licenses' (both of which are greyed out) a pop-up text appears saying: "You've already opened a SINE Player instance. To use this feature please proceed to the first ...

Re: Audio Imperia / Fluid Brass (Cinematic Short Articulations)
Fluid brass is two instruments per section. Caspian is 4, I think. Angry brass is solo or 4 players. It seems like there is no match regarding the player size.

Re: Arturia V Collection 9
As much as I like Mutable Instruments: Isn't Braids a digital oscillator? Those certainly have their spot where they are good and my own analog synth have digital oscillators. I think you can add some imperfection to these digital oscillators. Both Peak and Prophet 12 have their settings to add some ...

Re: Arturia V Collection 9
I think Behringer have stated they would be releasing a CS80 clone. By that don't mean a clone like Deckard's Dream, which did tempt me, but is very expensive, of course. Rather a clone including a polyphonic aftertouch and the ribbon. I hope this will turn out great and if it does I will be very ...

Re: Arturia V Collection 9
I am on version 8, so, I probably won't update for 200 bucks to v9. But I tried the CS80 and this is a synth I really love (the original). And I must say, that really sounded a lot better to me than the previous version. Just had very little time to check it out, though. Any CS80 fans around here ...

Re: Metropolis Ark on sale
FriFlo - yes, since this is Native Instruments cross-promotion, I guess it can only be the Kontakt version. Out of interest, can you run your instruments enabled but no samples? I can't remember if Sine does on-the-fly background loading. I know you can purge samples per articulation. It just works ...

Re: Metropolis Ark on sale
Wait ... they are offering the Kontakt versions? By the looks of the advertisement they do! This is how Capsule looks and that design is not to be found in Sine. Could that be the first step of moving back to Kontakt? Oh, and I must say, Piet, I completely share your resentment towards Sine. The ...

Re: Fiedler Audio / SpaceLab (Immersive 3D Spatialization)
Yes, I asked, because I already noticed that my Spat v3 was not available any more in macOS Monterey (and probably earlier). Revolution is not an option for me due it being a standalone and the price. That is why I am curious about this release.

Re: Fiedler Audio / SpaceLab (Immersive 3D Spatialization)
Are you considering this as Spat alternative, Piet? It seems more reasonable price-wise. And this seems to be a plugin vs a standalone application which Spat is since its "revolution". I would like to look into it, as there are many things to try out, like how well you can manage it in Cubase or ...

Re: Incoming ./ Unfiltered Audio's Tails
I immediately thought about Adaptiverb - just as you guys. Adaptiverb has a very high latency, if I remember correctly (haven't used it for quite a while, although I should ...). Maybe that is among the things that could set this apart. At least these videos have reminded me to include adaptiverb in ...

Re: Elicenser Discontinued Jan 1 2022
What about Vienna Instruments pro? Is the pro player being discontinued or does every user get it now? In my list of products, VIpro is marked red (will not be transferrable to iLok). Also, on the product page it seems you can no longer buy it. Did I miss something about that?

Re: Cubase 12 released
I have a very complicated setup with generic remotes (...) As do quite a lot of people, including me! I had high hopes for this, but as of today, there only is a very rudimentary visual editor to learn some faders and switches. There is the scripting, but looking through the scripting manual, it ...

Re: Cubase 12 released
My one and only feature of interest for this release is the new midi remote. However, most of what interests me is hidden away within its scripting capabilities. It will take a long time for me to figure out wether this is what I wanted from Cubase since a long time or isn't. Until then, I am afraid ...
