Re: reFX Nexus 5 announced

But what then will be the difference with Avenger ? I thought, prolly wrongly, that Avenger what a programmable Nexus. Yeah it's an interesting one. A Nexus selling point used to be low CPU, apparently that will still be the case. From the screengrabs it will be a very different programming ...

Re: When you first listen to a song, how important are lyrics to you?

I’m in the « music first » team. It’s even more troubling than that : for years I sang along english songs, or songs written in english, and they didn’t mean anything to me. I mean, I understood the words but they didn’t make sense to me. And later on, when they did finally meant something to my some ...

Re: Musio - latest stuff

Hello everyone!
Trying to make sense of everything Cinesamples related.
Is Musio 1 at 199€ still a bargain ? Or risky ?
I don’t have anything from them, oddly enough.
Thanx :-)

Re: Spitfire Albion ONE 2.0

Oh, thanks for the head up ! I don’t receive news anymore from SA, though I never unsuscribed. Pros : I don’t get swamped by the never ending marketing stunts. Cons : I have no idea what they’re up to, bug fixes wise. But now that I am on the way to having a proper rig to « compose » and produce some ...

Re: VST buzz closing down sales

Emmet is a good guy, and while I do have my reservations about these sorts of prices making it more difficult for developers to maintain their edge I am not a marketing guy, and I don't think VSTBuzz would have lasted as long as it has if it was truly discouraging sales. In fact I think VSTBuzz has ...

Re: Relab / REV6000

I tested it very lightly and found no discernable difference or anything crucial between some of its most appealing presets and Cinematic (sorry Piet) Rooms’ ones. I just have some CMS40 Focal to set my ears on fire. Well I do not have anymore, just sold’em and am looking for some 6,7 or 8 inches mon ...

SonicCouture All Saints Choir -70% sale

https://audioplugin.deals/product/all-saints-choir-by-soniccouture/ Audio Plugin has a deal going on for less than 2 weeks now : All Saints Choir, for 89$ instead of 299€. I likes the dev demos, especially how you could tweak clusters and swells and pitch changing a la aleatoric. Not your bombastic ...

[solved] Faulty Build up

Thanx Guy! I made a rookie error : didn’t plug the CPU cable to the PSU - no instruction about it on the printed manual. It’s from the MoBo to the PSU, actually. A tad rusted since my last build up was more than 10 years ago. Now comes the soft side of things, flashing Bios, transferring data and the ...

(solved) Faulty Build up

my PC build up hasn’t gone well : tiny mother card leds indicates a CPU and RAM dysfunctions. I cannot switch the tower off unless I use the PSU rocker switch itself. And the vidcard is not working properly (« no signal » message on the screen. Might be related to the CPU bug, though). Mobo : x670E P ...

Re: Impact Soundworks / Altera Keys

That’s what I thought : having Keyscape and Omni, is it worth it ? Those not into it might, though.

Edit : listening to the demos, it’s defo not for me as I dislike these DX and JD digi keyz - sounds cheezy like hell, or heaven depending on your worship side.

Re: GForce Oberheim DMX

I don’t understand why they didn’t include a sequencer. So it’s more like a tweakable sampler than a proper virtual drum machine. How retro that is… :/ Sequencer are here for happy accidents, at least for me. I had fun with Cherry Audio CR78 during the demo period. I should look into Psychic Modulat ...

Had no trouble with ASIO in Cubase 10.5.
It’s VST3 only.
A CPU devoring cycles for snacks piece of code.
But I have a very old I7 and Ztt (see what I’ve done, here?) is supposed to be optimized in the for… well the fut… err, somewhere down the line.
